We have an immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer/Electronic Packaging Engineer at our Agoura Hills, CA facility.This role requires electronic packaging engineering experience with multi discipline capability.

This role will require:

  • Upfront definition of product requirements with consideration for industrial design aspects of the larger product and its subsystems.

  • You will work in cross functional teams of technical marketing, electronics and mechanical engineers to define electronic and system packaging solutions for current and next generation products.

  • Understanding and documenting end user preferences and requirements, development of concepts, industrial, structural & thermal analysis, design for cost as well as understanding and implications of designs on electrical performance.

  • The candidate will be working on several projects at one time and must be able to multitask and prioritize.

Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required:

The ideal candidate for this role will have a combination of knowledge and experience in electronic packaging and industrial design.

  • BSME, MSME is preferred

  • 10 years related industry experience desired.

  • Experience with medium to large electronic and industrial equipment similar to ATE, modular product design for ease of repair and assembly, end user industrial design and ergonomic consideration and design for low cost is needed.

  • The candidate should be familiar with SolidWorks as well as FEA and thermal simulation tools.

  • Familiarity with manufacturing techniques for metal and plastics including sheet metal, machining, casting, molding, etc.

  • Experience in Medical device or other related commercial electronic equipment design and manufacturing is a plus.

  • Knowledge of PCB layout and construction and interface to mechanical design is desired.

  • Experience and working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) is highly desired.
