Responsibilities include master scheduling, planning, requisitioning material, resolving critical material shortages, managing bills of material, processing Engineering Change Notices, tracking product cost, monitoring manufacturing builds, generating Slot Plans and risk management plans, reporting to development and management team. Ability to succeed in a highly volatile environment that requires attention to detail while maintaining a broader scope vision to implement change. New Product Planners must be able to work on cross-functional teams and to communicate with all levels of management. Candidates must be able to work independently. New Product Planners must be able to find creative ways to resolve problems. Recognition of when a problem must be escalated is also critical. Basic Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education Required Individual must have BA/BS or equivalent or experience in a materials related field. MBA is a plus. Applicant must be computer literate with a working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing software. Experience with Oracle, and simulation software is desired. Skills with presentation software and database tools are helpful. Excellent interpersonal and organization skills are a necessity. APICS certification is a plus (CPIM). A team player that has in-depth knowledge of a New Product Planner’s role, has a high level of flexibility, and will work toward common goals inter-departmentally and cross-functionally. An individual who has demonstrated proactive planning and leadership skills as well as a proven ability to envision and implement change (problem identification and solution recommendation, and implementation).
